Jamie Butler
- Description
Jamie Butler the principal Osteopath at the Loughborough Osteopathic Clinic qualified as an osteopath in 1992 having worked previously as a sports therapist and remedial masseur since 1987. Over the last 27 years in practice, Jamie has developed a professional, caring, and understanding approach to osteopathic healthcare whilst constantly developing his technical knowledge and ability to provide patients with safe effective relief from their conditions.
Jamie passionately believes in the importance of educating the patient to understand their problems and clear communication regarding of all aspects of their osteopathic treatment. In this way, patients are reassured of the safety and effectiveness of any treatment they may undergo.
In the last 10 years, Jamie has developed a special interest in biomechanics and Gait Analysis. This fascinating field involves looking at the way patients walk/run and move from the ground up. Often patients require inserts or 'orthotics' in their footwear to correct feet rolling in (pronating) or out (supinating). Correcting these problems 'at source' can hugely improve all sorts of pain ranging from foot/ankle to hip, knee and back pain.
Jamie has links to some of the best bio-mechanical orthotics providers in the UK and is able where necessary to refer patients for corrective devices to help realign the vital mechanical balance of their bodies. This, incorporated with advice on core stability and strengthening exercises has resulted in many patients being able to get excellent, long-lasting relief from pain.

Testimonials
Over 8 years Jamie has been great for various classic back and neck problems. A few years ago he referred me for an urgent MRI scan as he feared I had cancer in my spine and I was not responding to osteopathy. The scan showed I had advanced bone cancer and within a week I was getting urgent hospital treatment. Without Jamie's intervention I would not have survived more than a few weeks. A genuine life-saver and a great caring professional.
Jamie is the best ostéopathe I have come across in my 15 years of professional swimming. Any time I get an injury Jamie knows exactly how to "fix" the issue. He is the best and I highly recommend to anyone!
Claire is the best sports massage therapist out there! Every time I book a massage with her, she knows exactly where and how to release any tensions or knots. She spends quality time and every penny is worth it.
Jamie and Claire are such lovely people! The second you walk through the clinic you feel at home. You will not experience anything alike anywhere else. I highly recommend!

I have been treated by Jamie, Ben and Claire at the clinic for a serious neck issue, and subsequently a bad back due to my profession over three years now. My experience at the clinic has always been brilliant, the clinic is a lovely stylish space, all the staff are amazingly knowledgable and above all the treatments, both osteopathic and massage have been totally effective. Would highly recommend!
